In 2017, the leadership team at Lam Research made a commitment to share our company’s success with a $1 million donation to organizations that were making a real impact on global sustainability issues. Lam believes in creating a positive impact in communities around the world by investing in programs that share our Core Values. Throughout the year, employees were asked to vote for the international nonprofit groups they felt most deserving of receiving the funds.
The six highly regarded organizations that were selected to share the million dollar donation each focus on a specific area of importance in global sustainability. The donation recipients are UNICEF (Children’s Health and Education), World Food Programme (Hunger), World Wildlife Fund (Animal Protection), Conservation International (Environment), Water.org (Water Security), and Habitat for Humanity International (Housing).
Funding for the $1 million donation came from the Lam Research Foundation, Lam’s charitable giving organization. Through the Lam Research Foundation, Lam has donated nearly $30 million in grants to non-profit organizations around the world since 2000.
