In addition to reaching its 40th anniversary this week, Lam was included on two key award rankings for being an admirable workplace: recognitions by both the Human Rights Campaign and Fortune Magazine.

Lam scores 100% for LGBTQ-inclusive workplace policies and practices

The company scored 100 percent on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2020 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a premier benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.

“We’re excited to earn the designation as a ‘Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality,’” says Richard Egure, senior director, Human Resources, Employee Engagement. “We strive to continuously improve our inclusion and diversity programs, policies, and practices, which includes considerations for the LGBTQ community. This recognition is a validation of Lam’s ongoing commitment to creating an inclusive environment where all of our employees are fully engaged in delivering best in class products and services for our customers.”

Lam is among some major U.S. businesses who also earned top marks this year. The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria falling under three key pillars:

  • Non-discrimination policies across business entities;
  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQ workers and their families;
  • Supporting an inclusive culture and corporate social responsibility.

“As we continue to drive towards Lam’s vision of every person feeling valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential, we’re honored and proud to share this progress,” says Tammy Sanders, senior manager, Inclusion & Diversity.
