Technology has played a significant role in connecting us to the world this past year. We are proud to advance the technology that advances the world, while also building a culture that celebrates our employees. Below is a selection of corporate reputation and workplace culture awards Lam received in the fourth quarter of 2020 and in 2021.
For the second year in a row, Lam received a score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ workplace equality.
Lam joins the ranks of more than 700 major U.S. businesses that also earned top marks this year. The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:
“Lam strives to create a workplace where employees are valued and empowered to bring their full self,” said Antoinette Hamilton, Global Head of Inclusion and Diversity at Lam. “We are proud to receive a score of 100, signaling our continued commitment to inclusion and corporate social responsibility.”

Lam has once again been named among the world’s leading brands as one of Fortune’s 2021 World’s Most Admired Companies. This year, Lam ranked fifth on the global semiconductor industry rankings.
As in past years, to determine the best-regarded companies across 52 industries, Fortune partnered with Korn Ferry who asked executives, directors, and analysts to rate enterprises in their own industry on nine criteria, from investment value and quality of management and products to social responsibility and ability to attract talent. A company’s score must rank in the top half of its industry survey to be listed.

Lam has been recognized on other rankings in recent months, including Newsweek’s America’s Most Responsible Companies, Wall Street Journal’s Management Top 250, Investor Business Daily’s Best ESG Companies: Top 50 Stocks for Environmental, Social, and Governance Values, and Forbes’ World’s Best Employers. We are pleased to also share that Richard Gottscho, Executive Vice President, Chief Technology Officer, was named one of VLSI’s 2020 All Stars.
In addition to the awards listed above, the company has received recognition from local organizations on our corporate programs and practices.
