Employees at Lam are always eager to spread cheer and deliver joy to their communities, particularly around the holidays. This holiday season, as part of our 2018 Deliver Joy campaign, employees from across the globe donated to organizations dedicated to helping those in need, further proving that the Lam Core Values go well beyond the workplace. Our worldwide communities of employees, friends, and families all came together to donate food, toys, blankets, care packages, bikes, and other much needed items to numerous worthy causes.
Following are just a few of the Deliver Joy programs hosted by Lam offices around the world.
With the cold nights coming early this year in many regions, Lam employees hosted several drives to collect blankets, coats, and personal care kits for those less fortunate. A group from Livermore, California, collected new socks, blankets, and toiletries to make close to 200 kits for women in homeless shelters. And the Tualatin finance team sorted clothing at Boys and Girls Aid in December, creating 50 care packages for foster children.
Several departments chose to use their team building time at local food banks, sorting and repacking tens of thousands of pounds of food for distribution to those who need healthy and nutritious meals. Several offices also held food drives to collect nonperishable items that will last through the winter months and beyond.
In addition to providing the basics, Lam employees also gave generously to spread joy among the many children in need of toys. Whether it was building hundreds of bikes or granting wishes from the giving trees, thousands of children had happier holidays thanks to the kind support of Lam employees.
Lam would like to thank every employee who participated in these and other giving programs during the Deliver Joy campaign.
